‘Vitruvian Productions’ is an Oxford-based theatre company founded in 2015 by Lucy Rayfield, a student at the University of Oxford reading for a doctorate in Medieval and Modern Languages. We specialise in performing new English translations of classical and Renaissance theatrical works, with a particular aim of introducing these little-known and otherwise inaccessible plays to a wider community. We have performed our plays at a variety of Oxford Colleges, including Exeter, Pembroke and Lady Margaret Hall; we have also taken our plays further afield, performing for students at Cheney School and also travelling to Greece to perform for schoolchildren wishing to learn about the role of classical tragedy in England. If you have any questions or would like to get involved in our productions, please get in touch using the form on the ‘Contact’ page.
